Tuesday, January 17, 2012 – B Day
LUNCH MENU: Today’s menu options are Orange Chicken, Spaghetti, Pizza, Deli Sandwiches and Salads. Check the menu board for more options.
WRESTLING: Wrestling conditioning week starts on Monday Jan 23rd at the Petaluma High School Multi from 3:30-5:30. You must first have your athletic packet including a doctor clearance turned into the main office before you can participate. See Mr. Dee if you have questions.
TUTORING: Will be after school tomorrow from 2:00 – 3:30. Be sure to come by tomorrow and get help with your homework!
CHARACTER TRAIT: Perseverance continues as our character trait. Many people we admire today demonstrated perseverance, or continuing to work towards a goal. Did you know that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling had to send the first Harry Potter manuscript to twelve publishers before one accepted it? What if Barack Obama had given up his goal of running for president because someone told him that our country was not ready for an African-American to become president, or when Hillary Clinton was far ahead of him in the polls? Obama’s perseverance helped him achieve his goal. When you have a big school project, you need perseverance to complete it.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Has a home game today against L.J. There are no early release times. The game starts at 3:30 so be sure to come support our volleyball team!
BOYS BASKETBALL: Has a game against L.J. in Rohnert Park today at 3:30. 7th graders are dismissed at 2:30 and will depart at 2:45. Have a great game guys!
LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL SIGN UPS: Are tomorrow from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Petaluma Boys & Girl’s Club. For more information go to www.petalumanational.org
To all 8th grade band and Chorus students: If you missed Mr. Lang's class on Thursday or Ms. Peterson's class on Friday, you missed a lab. Lab make ups are TODAY in S-4 for both Mr. Lang's and Ms. Peterson's students. They are expecting a crowd, so get there by 12:10 so you can get it done with a time to spare before 6th hour.
