CHARACTER TRAIT:  This week's character trait is optimistic.  Optimism is key, make sure to keep that positive mindset over the summer break.  Remember that if you fall, STAND UP and just dust yourself off.  You won't break.  You will be that much stronger. 

 

LOST & FOUND:  The Lost & Found is located in the Multi and the office.  It will be there until Tuesday afternoon.  Go and check it out because you may just find something you forgot you lost.  The

BASKETBALL AT PHS:  Any 8th grade boys who are interested in playing basketball at Petaluma High next year see Mr. Dee for summer basketball info.

LOST & FOUND:  The Lost & Found is located in the Multi and the office.  It will be there until Friday afternoon.  Go and check it out because you may just find something you forgot you lost.  The

 

 LIBRARY NEWS:  The library has free books and magazines. Last chance to take some home!

·  Sixth and Seventh graders can still sign up to be able to check out books for the summer.

·  The library will remain open for student use through the last day of school, including this

    afternoon.

·   No yearbook? Come make a free signature book in the library!

 

 LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO IN THE SUMMER?:  

  1. Excel is an enrichment program offering over 60 classes including  Lego Robotics, Farm to Table, Age of the Dinosaurs and How to Run a Successful Business.  It's located at Sonoma State University and has 5 different sessions over the summer. 
  2. Expanding your Horizons is an event to increase young women's awareness of the importance in math, science and engineering to their education. It consists of hands-on workshops. More information on the events above is in the office.

BASKETBALL AT PHS:  Any 8th grade boys who are interested in playing basketball at Petaluma High next year see Mr. Dee for summer basketball info.

BOOK LOST:  If you find the book, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, please return it to the office.  It was lost in Ms. Wright's room in 5th period.
