LUNCH MENU:   The menu for today & tomorrow is:

CHARACTER TRAIT:  Courageous is our character trait this week.

COMIC BOOK CLUB:  The Comic Book Club's last meeting will be next Wednesday? Location will be determined.

FUN BICYCLE EVENT:  The Petaluma Kids Gran Fondo is this Saturday, May 3^rd at Lucchesi Park.  Cycling, running, skating, walking are all welcome.  Come out and have some fun.  More information is in the office.

LAST SCHOOL DANCE:  The Spring Fling dance will be this Friday, May 2^nd from 6:30-9:00.  Tickets will be sold at lunch for $5 each.                

8^th GRADE CONTEST:  Attention 8^th graders – We use your idea, you win a gift card.   There is an ongoing contest to come up with the best name for the end of the year party.  There is a box in the office to drop in our ideas. You have until May 5^th.

CLASS PANORAMIC PHOTOS:  8^th Graders, if you haven't picked up your class panoramic photo, please come to the office the class panoramic photos have arrived.

ATTENTION 7^TH GRADERS:  If you would like to host a 6^th grade Shadow Day student from your old elementary school here at PJHS, please sign up in the Counseling Office.

CHARACTER TRAIT:  Courageous is our character trait this week. The Chicken Soup books are a popular series of essays about life. One of the stories is about Mike, who took care of his younger brothers and sisters when his mother became addicted to drugs.

LAST SCHOOL DANCE:  The Spring Fling dance will be this Friday, May 2^nd from 6:30-9:00.  Tickets will be sold at lunch all this week for $5 each.

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY:  Sonoma County Humane Society has camps this summer that include field trips with animal experts, hands-on skills taking care of animals.  Registration information is in the office.

Some examples of names are: "Class of 2018, Forever Young" or "Night with the Stars". You have from today until May 5^th to get your idea into the office. The winner will get a gift card.  

CLASS PANORAMIC PHOTOS:  8^th Graders, if you haven't picked up your class panoramic photo, please come to the office the class panoramic photos have arrived.

CHARACTER TRAIT:  Ambitious is our character trait this week. An ambitious person has a strong desire to achieve something. Students at our school are often ambitious about getting a good grade point average or doing well in sports.

SKATE NIGHT:  The last PJHS Skate Night will be tonight from 5:30-7:30pm at Cal Skate in Rohnert Park.  Hope to see you there!

CHARACTER TRAIT:  Ambitious is our character trait this week. If you have ambitious goals for your future, find an adult at school or somewhere else that can help you develop a plan for achieving your goals.

TRACK:  This afternoon the track team is having a meet in St. Helena against Calistoga, Healdsburg and Robert Lewis Stevenson Middle Schools.  Teachers, please dismiss the track team at 1:15pm today.

1.     Algebra Academy - will be from July 21^st to August 8^th. Students will have the opportunity to go around Petaluma to different businesses and learn how to apply Algebra in the workplace.  The informational meeting is on Tuesday, May 6^th at 7pm at the Kenilworth Library.

2.     PYSL (Petaluma Youth Soccer League) – fall registration is on-line or walk-in on Saturday, May 3^rd from 10-4pm

   As always, more details are in the office for all programs and activities.
